Behroz Biryani

So I was hungry as hell last night. I needed something delicious with a lightening fast delivery. Someone suggested this place called Behroz Biryani. I didn't really give it much of a thought and ordered whatever showed up first thing on the menu. And then i waited anxiously, holding still to conserve any bit of energy left. 45 mins later, it arrived. I had to make an effort to bring it back up to my place but i managed.

And then as i opened the packet, i was a bit taken aback! There seemed to be some kind of jewellery box inside. I cross checked my order again, to confirm if I had ordered something from Flipkart. But no, this was Zomato. And then i found those golden letters engraved onto the top that read 'Behroz'. So i went ahead and opened it carefully. Inside it were two neatly organised circular bowls and yet another box.

Now my hunger had already reached its peak point. Normally, i would have torn apart those juicy flavourful bones by now. But this thing demanded patience. On one side of the flap, there seemed to be a story engraved. Now, i am very particular about instructions and to-do's. So i read it out, the whole thing, to understand what i was getting myself into, the sort of commitment this thing desired from me. I was a bit let down that the whole article just focussed on the history of Biriyani. There were no instructions on how to eat, how to open the box etc. So i opened the final box and there it was, neatly tucked away, with colors evenly spread and the meat revealing itself just enough to get the juices flowing. I did not know what to do next. I picked up the spoon, but a voice inside my head stopped me from digging in. Someone had made so much of effort in decorating this thing. I feared i was going to mutilate a piece of art. So i stopped. Carefully, i repackaged the entire thing and tucked it away in the refrigerator. I fired up swiggy on my phone and ordered some kathi rolls to kill the hunger for the night.
