The human shadows

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Human beings are imperfect. I guess that is an overly used phrase. But, growing up, having had a taste of multiple facets of life, and having had so many people in and out of my life, i now understand the implications the above phrase has on us. The people around us, they aren't good or bad, they are just humans and when you see them appropriate light, they all cast shadows. All shadows are faceless but they do not affect our actual images. And thus when we see a human being, we need to acknowledge the shadows they carry. These are a very part of their Identity.

I have slowly trained myself into being able to recognise the shadows from people. It is a very important part of developing bonds. You need to know their darker side. Not because it will make you avoid bad people, but it will let you segregate their negatives away from you and focus on the good in them.

Every human in the world can inspire you one way or the other. The only skill you require is the ability to seek that inspiration from them. The ability to extract the goodness from people.
