Rebranding
This was a modular furniture company based in Gurgaon. For years they had been in business. They came to us with a vision to completely transform their old identity and start afresh. I was handed over the responsibility to first do a thorough research about the company and come up with as many options as possible for the logo design of the company. At this point, i wasn't supposed to go down to the depths of color scheme. I had to play with fonts, shapes and any other possibilities without restraints.
The initial research enabled me to come up with ideas and get things moving. The approach was to have as many unique possibilities as possible, sort out the ones matching our taste and then create variants of the same.
I came up with loads of ideas, a couple of them were developed and showcased to the client. Meeting after meetings, we zeroed up to the one below.
Once the logo was finalised, I was desperate to get it colored. Several schemes were developed. After a series of discussions, these were the final two selected.
I was advised not to get carried away with the color splash. Thus the text became white, the base became blue and a hint of yellow was given to our special element to highlight it.
